Huh-mean-ah is a talented and passionate producer, an accomplished stills photographer, and a great storyteller. Born at St Helens hospital in Mt Albert Auckland, to Mexican mother and Kiwi father. Ears pierced at 3 weeks, travelled to Mexico at 6 weeks. Grew up riding BMX bikes, playing cricket, tennis, touch rugby, netball, basketball, soccer, rowing. Left high school got into photography, got into production, did them both for a few years. At 20, moved to Mexico, learnt to drive in chaos on the other side of the road, photographed, produced, got kidnapped, mastered the art of bribery, got stuck in traffic, started an interior design business, got to know the city better than the taxi drivers (the honest ones), sold her share of the business to her partner. Drove to the top of the country, drove to the bottom of the country, and on every coastline along the way. Moved back to NZ, calmed down, lost her tan, freelanced. Got a coveted job at FINCH, never looked back.
