Show Me Shorts Film Festival - Key Information

Show Me Shorts is Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading international short film festival. We are a competitive Academy Awards-accredited festival that screens in more than 35 cinemas nationwide.

The 18th annual Show Me Shorts Film Festival will screen throughout Aotearoa New Zealand in October 2023. The Festival opens in Auckland on Friday 6 October then spreads to more than 35 cinemas and community venues, and On Demand, over the following weeks.

Key Dates

Friday 6 October - Auckland Opening Night at the Hollywood Avondale in Auckland

Sunday 8 October - Industry Day (a day full of workshops to upskill filmmakers) at the Hollywood Avondale in Auckland

Wednesday 11 October - Christchurch Opening Night at the Alice.

Thursday 12 October - Wellington Opening Night at the Embassy.
